International Responder Systems (IRS) was honored to serve as a Champion Sponsor of the Delaware Down Syndrome Walk & 5K on October 17, 2026, joining hundreds of families, friends, runners, walkers, and volunteers in celebrating the Down syndrome community.

IRS CEO James Mullikin participated in the event alongside his daughter, Lily, joining community members in showing support for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

Our Champion Sponsorship reflects IRS’s commitment to supporting inclusion, connection, and opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

Despite the chill and wind, participants came together for an event filled with encouragement, connection, and community spirit. One highlight was the Awareness Loop, where attendees cheered and applauded as they walked in support of individuals with Down syndrome, helping create a welcoming and celebratory atmosphere.

The event also helped support the Down Syndrome Association of Delaware’s ongoing programs and activities. Funds raised make a range of opportunities possible, from summer camps and social activities for teens and adults to boxing classes for individuals with Down syndrome and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.

At IRS, we recognize the importance of organizations that foster inclusion and create meaningful opportunities for individuals and families. We were honored to support this event as a Champion Sponsor and stand alongside the families, advocates, and community members working to make a difference.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Down Syndrome Association of Delaware for organizing this wonderful walk and 5k and bringing people together in support of a more inclusive community.
